//a oasis of tranquillity in Den Helder’s River neighbourhood

Creek park

urbanplan

A new creek meanders between preserved trees and forms the missing link between the dune landscape and Stelling Den Helder. With the addition of Kreekpad, a recreational route has been created for the neighbourhood. The path connects to the streets to the north and south of Kreekpark, making the green space easily accessible for local residents. Between Kreekpad, Scheldestraat and Eemstraat are building plots. Two project developments with apartments, ’t Landhuis and Het Kasteel, have been added, as well as private homes, varying in architectural style. They’re surrounded by generous gardens edged with hedges. The gardens are accessible by car via the recreational footpath, maximising the green landscape. Statues add an cultural touch to the park.
