Country road Hogesteeg forms the central route of this sub-plan together with the parallel ditch and existing trees. A small village green with chapel creates a central green space along Hogesteeg. Two waterways divide the area into three parts. The meandering Kleine Eem forms the transition to the next sub-plan. The mayor’s residence, notary’s house and doctor’s house, along with the local factory, are landmark buildings inspired by the classic Dutch water villages. They are situated within development plots arranged around parking courts. Water-oriented gardens of spacious plots with free standing houses along the water alternate with public embankments and overgardens. Farmhouses have been integrated in the plan, one has been converted into a restaurant with waterside terrace.
